SAN DIEGO – The Point Loma women's tennis team got back to .500 as they defeated Biola by a score of 6-1.

Point Loma came out firing on all cylinders winning all three doubles games and taking the doubles point. Ellie Gamble and Rachel Whittington won their match in quick fashion defeating their opponents 6-1. Samantha Neilson and Angelique Friedrich followed suit and won their match 6-2. Gabi Armas and Taylor McGowan finished doubles play off with a win by a score of 6-3. Point Loam would take a 1-0 lead headed into singles play.

PLNU carried the momentum from doubles play into singles play winning the first four singles play matches. Gabi Armas defeated her opponent quickly winning 6-2 and 6-0. Rachel Whittington finished not long beyond Armas after winning 6-3 and 6-1. With the Sea Lions up 3-0 after two singles play matches they needed just one more win. Samantha Neilson delivered the winner they were looking for defeating her opponent 6-2 and 6-2.

Point Loma would only drop one match and defeated Biola by a final score of 6-1.
