The Point Loma women's basketball team will begin postseason play this Thursday at the PacWest Championships, hosted by Azusa Pacific. The Sea Lions earned the No. 4 seed and will open the tournament against No. 5 Biola on Thursday, Mar. 5 at 2:45 p.m.

A look at Point Loma
The Sea Lions enter the PacWest Tournament on a four-game winning streak. They finished the regular season at 18-10 and placed fourth in the PacWest with a 14-8 mark in league play.

Onjalise Carley-Hilliard leads the PacWest in field goal percentage (.519), while averaging pacing Point Loma with 15.7 ppg.
Cara Liggins is second on the team with 14.6 points per game. She is also the team's leading rebounder, ranking eighth in the PacWest with 7.9 boards per game. Â
Carol Schroeder is just short of averaging double-figures with 9.3 ppg. She is third in the PacWest with 3.2 offensive rebounds per game.
Haylee Saurette is the team's leading scorer off the bench with 9.0 ppg.

As a team, the Sea Lions ranked third in the PacWest with 75.9 ppg while leading the league with 45.7 rebounds per game. PLNU holds its opponents to a .381 field goal percentage (fourth PacWest) and outrebounds them by 9.7 boards per game.

A look at Biola
The Eagles earned the No. 5 seed in the conference tournament after matching PLNU with a 14-8 record in PacWest play (18-10 overall). Point Loma and Biola split their two regular season games, with the home team winning each time.

Four student-athletes average between 10.1-10.9 ppg for the Eagles. Their leading scorer and rebounder Danita Estorga has not played since January. Tatum Brimley currently paces the team with 10.6 ppg. She shoots .368 percent from the field and .283 percent from 3-point range. Jazz Benn was Biola's lone all-conference selection. She averages 10.4 points and shoots .789 from the free throw line.

As a team, Biola averages 66.4 points and holds its opponents to a PacWest-best 57.9 ppg. The Eagles also limit their opponents to .358 percent shooting and have a plus-2.89 turnover margin.
