SAN DIEGO -
Isabel Turk scored a career-high 23 points to lead four Sea Lions in double-figures as the No. 20 Point Loma women's basketball team bounced back from an overtime loss yesterday to defeat Biola, 91-75, on Saturday, Feb. 20.
Â
Out of the gate, PLNU looked like it was trying to quickly erase last night's loss as it scored the first 10 points of the game and took a 33-13 lead at the end of the first quarter. They held that 20-point lead through halftime and never allowed the Eagles to get within single-digits the rest of the game.
Â
Turk finished the contest shooting 8-of-11 from the field and 5-of-8 from 3-point range.
Haylee Saurette scored 15 points and pulled down six rebounds.
Cara Liggins and
Madison Corder each chipped in with 14 points. Corder went 5-of-6 from the field and was plus-18 in the plus/minus category.
Kylie Hearn led the team in rebounds with a career-high seven boards while also dishing out four assists and posting three steals. Stephanie Lee paced Biola with 15 points.
