Alana Diaz scored for the third-straight game, breaking the deadlock in the 16th minute off an assist from
Alyssa Ketcham.
After taking a 1-0 lead into the halftime interval, Point Loma opened the floodgates with four goals in the second half.
Nicki Friedman doubled the Sea Lions' advantage in the 51st minute, before
Nikki Ross scored twice just over three minutes apart (69th, 72nd) to make it 4-0.
Jillian Tubbs then scored her first goal of the season to round out PLNU's scoring on the day in the 80th minute.
HPU got on the board with under three minutes to play, but it wasn't enough to deny the Sea Lions a ninth-straight win over the Sharks dating back to 2014.
