Point Loma (16-3-1 overall) is set to square off with Washburn (21-3-1) on Saturday at noon ET / 9 a.m. PT in the national championship game, as both teams seek their first-ever NCAA Division II national title.
PLNU has yet to concede a goal this postseason, outscoring its opponents 8-0 in four victories to reach the national championship game.
That included a dominant semifinal display on Thursday, during which the PacWest Conference and West Region champions scored three goals in the second half to defeat top-seeded Florida Tech, 3-0. (

Third-seeded Washburn beat second-seeded Adelphi, 1-0, in Thursday's second national semifinal.
The Sea Lions and Ichabods have never played each other.
Washburn, the Central Region champions, won the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association regular season title earlier this year.
Kickoff for Saturday's national championship is scheduled for 9 a.m. PT / noon ET at the Sportsplex at Matthews.
