(SAN DIEGO) The third time was the charm for No. 21 PLNU Men's Tennis.
 
After having its match against Concordia postponed twice due to inclement weather, the two teams were finally able to play on Tuesday, with Point Loma claiming a 4-3 victory.
 
"The men's team came through with a great win today against Concordia," Head Coach Curt Wheeler said. "This match was postponed twice over the past week due to weather, which was challenging with regards to preparation.
 
"The guys responded well today and consistently brought the intensity and focus on every court."
 
  
Point Loma bounced back from dropping the doubles point to win the first four singles matches that were finished.
 
Alexander Leischner and 
Tyler Davis, who won their No. 1 doubles match, carried that momentum into singles, with both picking up 6-4, 6-4 victories at No. 1 and No. 2 respectively.
 
Fabian Penzkofer also won in straight sets (6-3, 6-4) at No. 3 before 
David Strassburger clinched the overall match victory for the Sea Lions by a 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 margin at No. 5.
 
Point Loma (4-1 overall) returns to the court on Saturday when PLNU hosts Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at 4 p.m.
