(LA MIRADA, Calif.) PLNU Men's Tennis beat Biola on the road on Saturday, 4-3, to earn its first win in La Mirada since 2019 and its second-straight win against PacWest opposition this season.

The Sea Lions won the doubles point, which proved to be the difference after the two teams evenly split the six singles matches.

David Strassburger and
Elias Weeks rolled in their doubles matchup at No. 2, 6-1, before
Andrew Suver and
Lukas Schuster won 6-4 at No. 3 to give Point Loma a 1-0 overall match lead.

Schuster then dominated at No. 5, winning 6-1, 6-0 before Suver (6-3, 3-6, 6-3) and
Matt Melosch (5-7, 7-5, 6-4) also won at No. 3 and No. 6 respectively to clinch PLNU's victory.

Point Loma (2-2 overall) returns to the court on Monday when the Sea Lions travel to Santa Barbara to take on Westmont. Doubles play at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club is set to begin at 2 p.m.
