(SEASIDE, Calif.) No. 21 PLNU Baseball opened up a four-game set with No. 14 Cal State Monterey Bay by beating the Otters 2-1 on Thursday night.
After CSUMB scored an unearned run in the bottom of the third, Point Loma answered back with a pair of runs in the top of the fourth.
With one out,
Jack Malone singled to right before stealing second. He then advanced to third on a
Hunter Otjen single before
Miller Durham's double down the right field line tied the game.
Will Pope's sacrifice bunt then plated Otjen to score what proved to be the winning run.

Ray Cebulski pitched 4.1 innings without allowing an earned run.
Kaden Lewis pitched the final two outs of the fifth to earn the win, before
Michael Sarhatt (0.2 IP),
Connor Hill (1.0 IP) and
Christian Williams (1.1 IP) all set the stage for
James Sashin (1.0 IP) to close out the victory.
Point Loma (2-1 overall) and Cal State Monterey Bay (3-2) are set to square off again on Friday in a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
