(HILO, Hawai'i) No. 22 PLNU Men's Basketball held Hawai'i Hilo to just 24 points in the first half, developing a double-digit halftime lead on its way to a 67-57 victory in the Aloha State on Thursday night.

With Point Loma leading 13-8, the Sea Lions went on a 12-0 run to go up by 17 after back-to-back 3-pointers from
Luke Haupt and
Tyce Paulsen.

PLNU took a 14-point lead into the half and didn't let Hilo get closer than eight the rest of the way.

The Sea Lions shot a stellar 13-for-14 from the free throw line in the second half to prevent the Vulcans from mounting any comeback.

Haupt posted a near double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds, while
Zackry Paulsen (11 points) and
Wynton Brown (10 points) also scored in double figures.

Andrew Hommes and
Tyce Paulsen added nine points apiece, while
Coby Barnes pitched in with eight.

Point Loma (13-4 overall, 6-1 PacWest) maintains sole possession of first place in the conference standings.
