(HILO, Hawai'i) PLNU Women's Basketball opened its trip to the Aloha State with a 58-55 victory at Hawai'i Hilo on Thursday night to continue its perfect start to PacWest play.

After holding a two-point advantage following the first quarter, Point Loma led for the entirety of the second to take a 30-25 lead into the locker room.

The Vulcans went ahead in the third, only for the Sea Lions to close out the penultimate quarter on a 6-0 run, sparked by a 3-pointer from
Jocelyn Pascual.

Kaylee Byon then scored PLNU's first six points of the fourth quarter, during which PLNU extended its lead to as many as nine.

Eiley Tippins (14 points, 11 rebounds) played a key role in the Sea Lions' dominance on the boards, outrebounding the Vulcans 39-24, including 16-4 in offensive rebounds.

She was one of three Sea Lions to score in double figures, along with Byon (13 points) and
Tavia Rowell (12 points).
Alli McDonald also corralled 11 rebounds.

PLNU will close out its trip to the Aloha State on Saturday with a game at Hawai'i Pacific. Tip-off in Honolulu is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. PST / 4:30 p.m. HST.
