(SEATTLE) No. 4 PLNU Men's Basketball suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday evening at the hands of Seattle Pacific, 80-73.

Point Loma led by five going into the locker room, 35-30, and increased its offensive efficiency in the second half, shooting 53.9% from the field after halftime.

However, SPU caught fire with 50 points in the second half, shooting 65.2% from the field and 8-for-11 (72.7%) from 3-point range as the Falcons outscored the Sea Lions by 12 in the second period.

Tyce Paulsen led PLNU with 18 points for the game, with
Jaden Matingou joining him in double figures with 15 points, to go along with a team-high six rebounds and four assists.

Andrew Nagy also scored double-digit points with 10, while
Jake Lifgren added nine off the bench.

Point Loma (5-1 overall) now enters PacWest play, beginning on Thursday at Jessup. Tip-off in Rocklin is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
