(SAN DIEGO) PLNU Women's Basketball closed out its non-conference schedule with a resounding 76-56 victory over Northwest Nazarene on Saturday afternoon in Golden Gym.

With the win, Point Loma will enter PacWest play on a four-game winning streak after claiming the de facto PLNU Thanksgiving Classic title.

Both PLNU and NNU won their opening games of the tournament on Friday, setting up an unofficial championship game on Saturday with the two teams having already been scheduled to play each other.

The Nighthawks scored the first basket of the game, but that was the only lead they held as the Sea Lions nearly led from start to finish.

Ruby Vlahov paced all scorers for the second-straight game, scoring 17 points and making all her shots from inside the arc, as the hosts dominated in the post with a 36-18 advantage in points in the paint.

Izzy Navarro scored 14 points and dished out seven assists, while
Jocelyn Pascual and
Eiley Tippins joined them in double figures with 10 points each off the bench. Pascual led all players with a plus-minus of plus-24 with her on the court.

PLNU shot 50.0% from the field in the game, including 60.0% in the first half when the Sea Lions took a 14-point advantage into the locker room.

The hosts then led by as many as 24 in the final period on Navarro's layup with 3:35 remaining, as PLNU outscored NNU in all four quarters.

Point Loma (4-2 overall) opens conference play on the road at Jessup on Thursday. Tip-off in Rocklin is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
