Priya Torres scored with 11 seconds left to salvage a 1-1 draw for PLNU Women's Soccer against Jessup on Thursday.
Jessup took an unlikely lead in the 85th minute with just its second shot of the game after going without a shot for the first 65 minutes.
Torres then earned the Sea Lions a point with her header from
Jenna Bisset's cross. The goal was initially ruled out for offsides, but the center referee ultimately allowed the goal after consulting with the sideline official.
Point Loma had countless chances to take the lead throughout the game, outshooting Jessup 20-2.
The Sea Lions hit the crossbar twice and the post once in the second half, while having a couple point-blank efforts saved by the Warriors' goalkeeper.
PLNU (7-3-5 overall, 4-1-4 PacWest) hosts Fresno Pacific on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. on Senior Day.
A win will secure Point Loma's spot in the four-team PacWest Championships, hosted at the PLNU Soccer Field, Nov. 13-15. A loss or tie would leave the Sea Lions' conference tournament fate dependent on other results.
