PLNU UNBEATEN IN PACWEST ENTERING FINAL WEEK

(IRVINE, Calif.) No. 4 PLNU Volleyball will enter the final week of the regular season unbeaten in PacWest play after a four-set victory (23-25, 25-16, 26-24, 25-19) over Concordia on Saturday.

The win, which clinched Point Loma's spot in the PacWest Championships, is the team's eighth in-a-row, with the Sea Lions going a perfect 6-for-6 on their six-match road trip.

After dropping a close first set, PLNU responded to win the next three and stay perfect in the conference.

Point Loma held CUI to a hitting % of just .026 in the second set, as the Sea Lions tallied five of their 14 blocks in the stanza. PLNU jumped out to an immediate 5-0 advantage and led by as many as 11 to even the match.

A back-and-forth third set went Point Loma's way, with Finn Higginbotham and Jill Leslie combining for a block to give the visitors a 2-1 lead in the match.

PLNU then scored 10 of the final 13 points in the fourth set, as Saren Rogers sealed the victory with her match-high 16th kill of the night. Leslie and Kyra Miles joined her in double figures with 10 kills each.

Setter Sophia Baugh had a stellar all-around match with 43 assists, eight kills, 10 digs and a career-high five blocks, including three solo ones.
