(SIOUX FALLS, S.D.) West Regional champion Point Loma will be the No. 3 seed at the NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Championships, which begin on Thursday in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

PLNU was awarded the third seed among the eight regional champions who will compete for the national title this week.

Point Loma (27-4 overall) will play in the national quarterfinals against No. 6 seed Bentley (27-4), the East Regional champion, on Thursday at 9 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. CT.

Bentley is making its third consecutive NCAA Championships appearance after winning its third-straight East Region title, including in 2024 when the Falcons reached the national semifinals.

BU won both the Northeast 10 regular season and tournament championship, going undefeated in conference play, to earn the No. 1 seed in the East Regional. The Falcons have won 23 matches in-a-row.

PLNU is making its first ever appearance at the NCAA Championships, having won the program's first West Regional title on Saturday, doing so as the No. 1 seed and tournament host.

Point Loma and Bentley previously played on Sep. 12 at the Colorado Premier Challenge, with PLNU winning that match in four sets (25-21, 21-25, 25-16, 25-18) on its way to claiming the tournament championship.
