(SAN DIEGO) PLNU Women's Basketball outscored Concordia in all four quarters on Saturday in Golden Gym, as the Sea Lions took down the Golden Eagles, 66-52, to celebrate Homecoming Weekend on campus.
 
Tavia Rowell scored 19 points to lead all scorers, while 
Alli McDonald recorded a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.
 
McDonald's contributions were key for the Sea Lions in outrebounding the Golden Eagles 32-19 and outscoring them by eight in points in the paint.
 
After Point Loma put together a 20-point first quarter, Rowell's 3-pointer late in the first half gave the hosts a double-digit lead going into the locker room.
 
  
Eiley Tippins (7 points, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks) extended PLNU's advantage to as many as 16 in the third quarter, as the Sea Lions led by no fewer than six the rest of the way.
 
Maddie Mersch added 12 points to join Rowell and McDonald in double figures.
 
  
With the win, Point Loma (19-5 overall, 14-2 PacWest) remains in first place in the PacWest standings ahead of a crucial conference matchup on Wednesday at Azusa Pacific. Tip-off in Azusa is scheduled for 5:15 p.m.
