SEA LIONS' WINNING STREAK REACHES DOUBLE DIGITS

(SAN DIEGO) No. 19 PLNU Women's Tennis had its winning streak reach double digits on Wednesday, defeating Concordia 5-2 for its 10th straight victory.

Arianna Audelo and Quin Brady, ranked No. 4 in the latest ITA national doubles rankings, won their No. 1 doubles matchup 6-3 to keep the Sea Lions alive in doubles, only for the Golden Eagles to take the doubles point.

However, Point Loma responded by winning five of the six singles matches to beat CUI for the second time this season.

Alina Kupfer got the Sea Lions on the board with her straight-set victory at No. 1 singles, winning 6-3, 6-4 after closing the match with a break of serve.

Emely Valencia won at No. 4 not long after to put the hosts in front with her 6-4, 6-3 victory.

Brady then claimed a 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 3, putting the Golden Eagles on the brink.

Anna Pallencaoe clinched the team victory with her 7-6, 6-3 triumph at No. 5, which included a 13-11 victory in a first-set tiebreak.

Melissa Zirkle rounded out the scoring for the Sea Lions, bouncing back from a first set tiebreak defeat to win the second set 6-3 and a super tiebreak 8-6.

Point Loma (12-2 overall) will next travel to play Biola on Saturday in La Mirada at noon.
