(AZUSA, Calif.) No. 26 PLNU Men's Tennis pushed No. 6 Azusa Pacific to the end in a narrow 4-3 defeat on Saturday, marking the second time this season that the two teams have been separated by just a single point.
 
Point Loma got off to a great start in winning the doubles point.
 
After APU won at No. 1 doubles, PLNU picked up a pair of 7-5 victories at No. 3 (Niclas Goltz, Nabeel Khan) and No. 2 (David Fisinger, Andrew Suver) to take a 1-0 overall lead in the match.
 
Elias Weeks (No. 6) and Finn Kirschner (No. 4) both won their singles matches in three sets, with Weeks rolling 6-2 in the final set and Kirschner claiming a tiebreak in dominant fashion, 7-2.
