After APU won at No. 1 doubles, PLNU picked up a pair of 7-5 victories at No. 3 (
Niclas Goltz,
Nabeel Khan) and No. 2 (
David Fisinger,
Andrew Suver) to take a 1-0 overall lead in the match.

Elias Weeks (No. 6) and
Finn Kirschner (No. 4) both won their singles matches in three sets, with Weeks rolling 6-2 in the final set and Kirschner claiming a tiebreak in dominant fashion, 7-2.
