(IRVINE, Calif.) No. 20 PLNU Volleyball handed No. 22 Concordia its first PacWest loss of the season, defeating the first-placed Golden Eagles in five sets (25-17, 23-25, 26-24, 20-25, 15-9) on Saturday afternoon in Irvine.

The Sea Lions committed only a single error in the first set, as a 7-0 Sea Lions' run in the opening stanza helped put Point Loma up 1-0 in the match.

CUI (15-3 overall, 8-1 PacWest) responded by taking the second set before PLNU restored its advantage by winning the third set.

Saren Rogers in her season debut clinched the set for the visitors.

The Golden Eagles forced a fifth and final stanza, which fittingly began and ended with kills from
Kyra Miles, who led all players with her career high 26 kills. Miles, who ranks third in the PacWest in attack %, hit a super efficient .585 on the afternoon while also leading the match with six blocks.

Hailey Clark joined Miles in double figures with 11 kills, while
Sophia Baugh set season highs with 54 assists and 23 digs.
