(HONOLULU) PLNU Men's Basketball extended its lead at the top of the PacWest standings with an 85-73 win over second-placed Hawai'i Pacific on Thursday night.

Point Loma now leads HPU and Westmont by three games atop the conference with five games remaining in the regular season.

The Sharks took an early 12-5 advantage over the Sea Lions, who responded with an 11-0 run to retake the lead.

PLNU scored 49 points in the first half, shooting 59% from the field and 50% from 3-point range, to take a nine-point lead into the locker room.

Andrew Hommes dunk in the second half then extended the visitors' lead to a game-high 19 points, as the Sea Lions won their fifth-straight game.

Hommes led all players with a career-high 23 points, while
Tyce Paulsen added 20 points.

Paulsen sank six 3-pointers, with Hommes and
Jake Lifgren (9 points) each making a trio of triples.

Andrew Nagy joined Hommes and Paulsen in double figures with 10 points, as
Caden Harris added nine of his own.
