(HONOLULU) PLNU Women's Basketball led from start to finish against Hawai'i Pacific, as the Sea Lions defeated the Sharks by a 71-53 margin on Thursday night.

Point Loma won the opening tip, resulting in a
Hannah Golan layup just five seconds in, as the Sea Lions led the rest of the way.

PLNU led 17-13 after one before extending its advantage to double digits at halftime after outscoring HPU 19-12 in the second quarter.

The Sea Lions then led by as many as 28 after a dominant third period saw the visitors win the quarter, 25-9.

PLNU had a diverse scoring output with six Sea Lions scoring eight-or-more points, while eight players scored at least six points.

Eiley Tippins led the team with 12 points and seven rebounds, while she was joined in double figures by
Izzy Navarro (10 points).

Maddie Morrow hit a trio of 3-pointers to score nine points, while
Maddie Mersch,
Cassidy Bartolotto and
Emma Sales all scored eight points off the bench.
