Point Loma shot 299 (+11) as a team to take a six-shot lead over tournament host Dominican going into Tuesday's second and final round.
Summer Schafer sits in solo third place after shooting an even-par round of 72 which featured three birdies, including back-to-back on the par-four 14th and par-five 15th.
Bella Gunasayan is a shot behind after her first-round 73 has her tied-for-fourth following three birdies on her final four holes. She also carded an eagle on the par-five 15th.
Annika Yturralde (76) and
Giana Gunasayan (76) are both tied-for-11th, with
Avery Sky (78) two shots back in a tie-for-16th.
Yturralde led all players on the day by shooting two-under on par-threes, while
Bella Gunasayan and
Allie Nguyen (79) both rank second in the tournament with a two-under score on par-fives.
Schafer shot one-under on both par-threes and par-fives.
