SEA LIONS STEAMROLL SHARKS IN PACWEST SEMIFINALS

(SAN DIEGO) No. 1 seed PLNU Men's Basketball cruised into the PacWest Tournament championship game for the fourth-straight season with a dominant 95-66 victory over No. 4 seed Hawai'i Pacific on Friday afternoon.
 
Point Loma tied a season-high with 16 3-pointers made, shooting 51.6% from behind the arc, as the Sea Lions steamrolled the Sharks in Golden Gym.
 
PLNU scored 54 points in the first half to take a 26-point lead into the locker room before leading by as many as 37.
   
Jaden Matingou led all players with 20 points and seven assists, his third-straight 20-plus point game, while Caden Harris added 17 points.
 
Andrew Hommes was a perfect 4-for-4 from 3-point range in the first half on his way to a 14-point outing.
 
James Nobles and Jake Lifgren each scored 11 points off the bench, while Tyce Paulsen made it six Sea Lions in double figures with his 10 points.
 
Point Loma (24-5 overall) will play No. 2 seed Westmont (18-11) in the PacWest Championship on Saturday at 2 p.m., looking for a second-straight conference tournament title and third in the last four seasons.
