(ELLENSBURG, Wash.) PLNU Women's Basketball is going dancing for the third-straight season.
Point Loma (21-8 overall) was announced as the No. 7 seed in the NCAA West Regional and will face off against No. 2 seed Western Washington (24-7, 15-3 GNAC) in the regional quarterfinals on Friday at 2:30 p.m. in Ellensburg, Wash.
The winner will advance to play either No. 3 seed Cal Poly Pomona or No. 6 seed Azusa Pacific in the regional semifinals on Saturday.
The Sea Lions earned an at-large berth after reaching the 20-win mark in consecutive seasons for the first time in its NCAA era.
PLNU also reached the PacWest Tournament semifinals for the fifth-straight season under Head Coach
Charity Elliott, who is leading Point Loma to a third-consecutive regional appearance for the first time in program history.
WWU won the GNAC regular season championship before advancing to the GNAC Tournament title game.
The Sea Lions and Vikings last faced off on Nov. 29, 2022, with WWU prevailing by a score of 73-64.
