After APU won the first two singles matches to finish,
Zoe Moley leveled the match at 2-2 with her straight-set, 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 5.

The Cougars then held a 3-2 lead with the singles matches at No. 4 and 6 left to decide the outcome of the match.

Both Conde Vendrell (No. 4) and Zirkle (No. 6) bounced back from dropping their first sets to win the second, with Zirkle prevailing in a tiebreak. Each was tied at 5-5 in the final stanza, with the match possibly swinging either way, before APU edged PLNU at the very end.

Point Loma (17-4 overall) now awaits its NCAA postseason seeding ahead of the NCAA West Regional next month.
