(SAN RAFAEL, Calif.) No. 18 PLNU Volleyball opened its Northern California trip with a three-set sweep (25-20, 25-17, 25-22) at Dominican on Friday night.

Point Loma overcame a 14-18 deficit by scoring 11 of the final 13 points in the opening set to take a 1-0 match lead.

The Sea Lions carried that momentum into the next set, never trailing in the second stanza to go up 2-0 with its largest margin of victory in any set in the match.

Dominican then led 8-4 in the third, only for Point Loma to respond with a 7-0 run capped by a block from
Hailey Clark and
Sophia Baugh.

PLNU cruised the rest of the way, as
Gianna Callari scored the final two points for the Sea Lions to lead all players with 12 kills.

Baugh dished out 34 assists, while four Sea Lions reached double digits in digs –
Jolyna Salas (17),
Kira Federico (13), Baugh (12) and
Kaitlyn Cabral (12).
