As a Freshman (2010-11)

Posted an 8-11 singles record but went 6-4 against GSAC competition… played exclusively on court 4… beat players from ranked teams Concordia, Vanguard, Lewis-Clark State, Azusa Pacific and Williams (Mass.)… 12-11 record in doubles with partner Tyler Bowman.

Prior to PLNU

Redshirted at University of Texas San Antonio... earned three varsity letters in three years as number one singles player at Reagan HS under coach David Daniel...  was recognized as No. 2-ranked in Mexico in doubles and No. 4-ranked in singles, and was in the top 200 ITF in singles.

Personal

Born on May 1, 1991 in Guadalajara, Mexico to Pirgui and Angel... has a twin brother, Angel, who is also a PLNU tennis player... grandfather was a professional soccer player...came to Point Loma because of its quality of education and the kindness of its coaches... would most like to meet Bear Grylls... plays soccer and golf in his spare time... can play the guitar... notes Rafael Nadal as his favorite tennis player... accounting major who aspires to one day work for any of the top-four accounting firms.
