As a Sophomore (2011)

Was 5-for-28 (.179) on the year with eight runs scored, two doubles, four walks a RBI and a stolen base…  drove in a run against Oregon Tech on Feb. 5 and scored twice versus San Diego Christian on March 5… playing both outfield and infield spots had 16 putouts with one assist. 

As a Freshman (2010)

Started in five games and made 11 appearances… in just 19 at bats, recorded a .316 batting average with six hits and five runs batted in… the infielder/outfielder walked six times during his freshman campaign and made nine putouts with six assists. 

Prior to PLNU

Attended Torrey Pines high school and played all four years under coach Matt Chess… honored as two-year captain and student athlete of the year among many other awards… best single game performance included two homeruns, four RBI’s, and four runs… also played soccer at PLNU.

Personal

Born September 14, 1990 in San Diego… parents are Joyce and Jim Reading… one sister, Jessica… favorite food is chicken while favorite movie is Zoolander and favorite TV shows are "Family Guy" and "Entourage"… “JJ” is a business major.
