Prior to PLNU
Competed two years at Bakersfield College for Coach Krueger... number 3 in singles and number 1 in doubles... was on the Dean's list at Bakersfield College in Spring 2011 and made it to the quarter finals in the state championship in doubles... best event performance in college was beating the doubles team from Palomar to qualify for the state championships... prepped at Bakersfield Christian High School under Coach Thiessen... won the Valley Championships all four years of high school... his junior year they won the Clovis Tournament in Div II... best experience in high school was his junior year when they we were able to beat the biggest Div I school in Bakersfield by one game.

Born May 4, 1990, in Bakersfield, Calif... son to Louise and Steve... siblings are William, Samuel, and Grace... came to PLNU for the amazing location, friendly environment, and interest in playing for the tennis team... Matthew is a psychology major and hopes to be a clinical psychologist with an interest in personality and neurologic behavior.
