Biography
AS A JUNIOR (2011-12):
NAIA scholar-athlete…GSAC scholar-athlete…PLSA Sportsmanship Award winner…Named a San Diego Hall of Champions Star of the month for April after going 3-0 in singles and 4-0 in doubles…Helped the Sea Lions reach No. 6 in the NAIA national rankings…Went 16-2 on the season in singles…Was 8-0 at No. 6 singles…Was 10-0 against GSAC opponents…Won 16 straight matches…Went 14-7 in doubles matches…Won seven straight doubles matches, including five straight while teaming with Sharon Reibstein.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2010-11):
Great year for the Sea Lions, going 19-2 in singles, mainly on court 6… was 13-1 against GSAC foes… opened the year with 17 consecutive wins, did not lose until May… posted a shutout win versus SNU’s Allison White at the NAIA National Tournament… was 17-6 in doubles, paired mostly with Kiersten Steinhauer… went 11-3 against conference opponents… beat SNU team at nationals.
AS A FRESHMAN (2009-10):
Excellent first campaign for Loma… posted a 17-8 mark in singles (11-5 against the GSAC) and was 16-6 in doubles (10-3 GSAC)… competed on every court, but made most starts in singles on court 6… won a 3-set match against Concordia’s Man-Son-Hing (4-6, 6-2, 7-5)… picked up wins at nationals against players from Lindsey Wilson and Brenau… also won both doubles matches against those two teams.
PRIOR TO PLNU:
A four-year member of the Broncos tennis team under Coach Michael Parrinello… earned the Sportsmanship and Coaches awards… reached the CIF doubles quarterfinals… won Palomar League as a senior.
PERSONAL:
Born in Lansing, MI… parents are Lingming and Chinchuan…siblings are Honyin, William and Hannah… likes playing tennis and reading…favorite book is “Eragon”…Computer Information Systems major.
