PLNU Athletics

AS A SOPHOMORE (2011-12):
Went 14-7 in singles play…Primarily played No. 4 and No. 5 singles…Won six straight matches in March…Longest set winning streak was six…Went 7-5 against GSAC opponents in singles play…Reached the round of 16 at the Ojai Valley Tournament…Went 7-8 in doubles play on the season…Played with Diego Tavera in nine of those doubles matches…Helped PLNU reach as high as No. 6 in the national rankings…The team was ranked in the top 10 all season.

AS A FRESHMAN (2010-11):
Excellent first year at Loma… was 16-7 in singles playing mostly on six… won 8-of-4 against GSAC foes… won both matches at the NAIA National Champions, beating Fredrik Graaner of Union (6-3, 6-3) and David Spennaire of Embry-Riddle (Fla.) (6-3, 6-2)… topped conference opponents from Westmont, Lewis-Clark State, Williams, Concordia, Fresno Pacific, Vanguard and Azusa Pacific... also went 3-1 in doubles including win with Tyler Bowman against Union at nationals.

PRIOR TO PLNU:
Earned four varsity letters at Woodbridge HS under coach Ric Barth... honored as 2010 Male Athlete of the Year for the Warriors... was the No. 3-ranked senior in Orange County... earned First Team All-League and All-City awards... his greatest sports thrill in high school and most exciting tennis moment was hitting a shot in between his legs at 15-all, 5-all, to win in doubles… also played soccer as a prep, and earned an honorable mention his senior year.

PERSONAL:
Born in Irvine, CA to Cindy and Chris... lists the Jets, Lakers, Dodgers, and L.A. Kings as favorite sports teams... came to PLNU for the location and spiritual element... Accounting major.
