AS A JUNIOR (2013):
First team All-PacWest selection…NCBWA All-West Regional honorable mention pick…PacWest Pitcher of the Week for the Week of Apr. 8-14…Teamed up with Sam Sadler to throw the first combined no-hitter in Point Loma history…Had a 2.39 ERA with 10 saves…Tied for the PacWest lead with those 10 saves…Second in PLNU history for saves in a season…Moved to third in school history for saves in a career with 12…Tied for third in the PacWest conference with 21 appearances…Combined on two shutouts…Struck out 23 batters in 26.1 innings…Opponents hit just .186 off him…Had two different streaks of nine innings pitched without allowing a run.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2012):
Appeared in 15 games, making six starts…Had two saves…Struck out 37 batters in 47 innings pitched…Had a streak of three consecutive appearances (stretching over six innings) without allowing an earned run…Picked up his saves against Fresno Pacific and Cal State San Marcos.Had a season-high seven strikeouts, in five innings, against Westmont.

AS A FRESHMAN (2011):
Made 12 appearances, all starts for the Sea Lions… had a 4-6 overall record with a 5.01 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 39 innings pitched… went eight innings on March 3 at San Diego Christian… on March 30 at Vanguard tossed seven scoreless innings to earn a 1-0 win… another seven inning effort against Westmont on April 13 in which he allowed just one run.

PRIOR TO PLNU:
Comes to the Point via Sonora HS in La Habra, CA…. As a junior in 2009, went 5-2 on the mound with a 3.32 ERA…In 63 innings pitched he recorded 45 strikeouts and hurled four complete games, including a complete game 2-0 shutout over league rival Troy HS…Threw a complete game in a win over #1 seeded Victor Valley HS in the first round of the CIF playoffs in 2009…As a senior in 2010, he went 9-4 on his way to being named first team All-Freeway League…Finished the season with a 2.26 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP. He struck out 80 in 80.2 IP and only gave up 56 hits… he led the Freeway League in complete games and shutouts… was also named Sonora’s pitcher of the year, as well as an Orange County All-Star. This past June was a 29th round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Pirates… a solid student, making the honor roll six semesters in a row at Sonora.

Born in Whittier, Calif…Communications major…Parents are Roberta and Curt...Has a brother, Jeff...Was on the Principal's Honor Roll all four years of high school.
