As a Junior (2009)
Quickly became an instrumental part of the PLNU volleyball program throughout her first year in the Green and Gold…accumulated 260 digs with a season high of 19 coming against The Master’s (9/11)…served 18 aces during the season, including three against Indiana Tech (9/4)…had 31 total blocks and 366 receptions... season best 20 kills facing Vanguard (10/6) while totaling 306 kills on the campaign.
Prior to PLNU
She played two years at Fresno City College for coach Tracy Ainger-Schulte... played 87 games and accrued 215 kills, 293 digs, 36 blocks and five assists… was MVP of the Delta Classic Tournament and MVP of CVC… was named to the second team All-Conference in 2008, the All-Tournament team in the Delta Classic, the All-Nor-Cal team and All-State team… team FCC co-captain… played four years in high school at Clovis West for head coach Rhonda Deruiter where she helped her team to become co-conference champions… club team competed in the Junior Olympics in 2005 and won the Colorado Crossroads Tournament the same year.

Born October 4, 1989 to Melissa and John in Fresno… lived in Fresno with her mother and stepfather Jeff Russel… brother is Justin Pitkin… enjoys playing and watching sports and relaxing with close friends… chose PLNU for the academic opportunities, for volleyball and to bring herself closer to God… also played soccer for three years in high school… the business administration major wants to own her own business or be a CEO of a large corporation.
