PLNU Athletics

As a Junior (2009-10)
Started 20 games and got into all 28 PLNU contests… averaged 5.3 points, 1.8 boards and 1.5 assists per game… for the year totaled 147 points, 51 rebounds, 41 assists and 15 steals… shot .458 (60-131) from the field… made six threes and 21 free-throws… contributed at least 10 points on four occasions with 14 points on 11/6 at Fisk a season-best.

Prior to PLNU
Spent two seasons at Northeast Community College, playing point guard… attended East Chicago Central HS, where he earned three varsity basketball letters and also played football… during senior season was part of team that went 23-3 and won the Indiana state championship, defeating current LA Clippers guard Eric Gordon and North Central HS in the title game… earned National Honor Society recognition in senior year.

Born January 8, 1989 in East Chicago, IN… parents are Jesse and Latoria… has 12 siblings: Jesse, DeWayne, Jawann, Jeremiah, Kuvonte, Derek, Tia, Latoya, Faybian, Eugenia, Diana and Nichelle… brother Jeremiah plays football at Manchester University… favorite sports teams are the Chicago Bears and Miami Hurricanes… hobbies include singing, drawing, computers, video games and poetry… DeAndre, who also goes by “D-Jones” is a liberal studies major.
