As a Junior (2010-11)

Third-team All-American… averaged 74.55 in 10 tournaments and 31 total rounds of competition… second place at the CSU San Marcos Invitational after shooting 217 over three rounds… tied for third at the CSUB Invitational (212)… tied for fifth at the PLNU/Smee Builder’s Invite (226)… fifth at the Grand Canyon Thunderbird Invitational (217)… lowest round was a 68 at the CSUB Invite… tied for 58th at nationals with a four-round score of 306.

As a Sophomore (2009-10)

Superb first year at PLNU cumulated in a third-team NAIA All-American selection… averaged 74.35 in seven events…  low round was 70 with 55 birdies made and two Eagles… won the PLNU/Smee Builder’s Invite after carding 73-73-70—215… that was the lowest score for the year but also shot 216 at the San Marcos Invite and 217 at the Grand Canyon Invite and was second overall at the Carlton Oaks Invite… tied for 12th at the NAIA Qualifier after shooting 235.

Prior to PLNU

Golfed for four years at Hilltop high school under coach Chuck Vallero… honors include four varsity letters, first team all league all four years, and Metro League Final win in 2005 and 2006… attended Cuyamaca Junior College and golfed for one year under coach Louise Parks… best performance during this year was a score of 67 at Cottonwood golf course.

Personal

Born August 29, 1989 in San Diego, CA… parents are Lorin and Guillermo… siblings are Sean and Dani… uncle, Bryan Gorman, is a former PGA Tour pro… favorite food is shushi… enjoys surfing and traveling… favorite golfers are Sean O’hair and Phil Mickelson… best round of golf was a 66 at Salt Creek Golf Club… an industrial/organization psychology major who hopes to go pro in golf or do something in the golf industry.
