Biography
As a Junior (2010-11)
Went 12-14 in singles playing on courts two and one… topped Robbie Erani of No. 3 NCAA DIII Claremont, 6-4, 6-2… beat Yvon Haessig of Union 6-4, 7-5 in the first round of the NAIA National Tournament… was 17-12 overall in doubles, teamed up mostly with Diego Tavera on court two… piled up seven consecutive wins to start the year… won first round NAIA match against Union opponents… earned All-GSAC honors.
As a Sophomore (2009-10)
Solid first effort for the Sea Lions… went 15-9 in singles, playing mainly on court three and went 14-10 in doubles action… was 5-7 singles, 5-6 doubles against GSAC opposition… posted a 6-1, 6-0 win against Gustavo Godoi of Mobile in the first round of NAIA Tournament competition.
Prior to PLNU
Competed one season at UC Irvine for Coach Kronnemann... played at the six position for the Anteaters, posting a 9-7 record in singles and 7-3 in doubles... prepped at Palos Verde Peninsula HS under Coach Haegen... was a four-time MVP there as well as All-League in both singles and doubles and was chosen by the Daily Breeze as the Player of the Year... team reached CIF finals as a junior... member of honor roll, AP Scholar and USTA Sportsmanship award winner.

Born January 5, 1990 in Long Beach, CA... son to Michael and Belinda... siblings are Erik, Natalie, Christi, Jeremy, Jonathan and Katie... Jonathan was a former PLNU All-American tennis player... came to PLNU for the Christian environment, smaller campus and the fact that his brother attended... likes basketball, poetry, Wii, pizza and pasta... fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Ohio State Buckeyes... watches "The Office" and favorite book is "1984"... Tyler is a business administration major who wants to go into investment banking.
