PLNU Athletics

Another excellent year as PLNU’s top player… earned All-GSAC and NAIA first team All-American accolades… went 19-3 in singles which included a 14-1 mark against players in the GSAC… only loss was to Fresno Pacific’s Katie Sabate, though she avenged the loss later in the year… won her only completed singles match at nationals against Lyn See Choo of Brenau…  in doubles was 15-9, competing mainly on court 1… three wins came in NAIA play alongside partner Ashley Litchfied, defeating teams from Lindsey Wilson, Brenau and Fresno Pacific… in the fall of 2010 Ashley won the ITA Regional, ITA National and ITA “Super Bowl” titles, the only PLNU player to accomplish that feat... was named as a San Diego Hall of Champions Player of the Month.. team MVP.

Though she has played for just two seasons, Kristin can already be considered one of the best women’s tennis players in the program’s history… the team MVP was once again an All-GSAC and first-team All-American… competed as the team’s number one singles and doubles player… was 23-4 in singles and 21-10 in doubles… rolled off easy wins in the first two rounds of NAIA National Tournament play, 6-0, 6-0 against Emily Sampsel (Ohio Dominican) and 6-1, 6-0 versus Irina Pljuszynyin (SCAD)… teamed with Rachel Owens to notch two doubles wins at nationals as well... atop the PLNU all-time list with a 51-7 (.879%) win-loss mark.

Excellent debut at PLNU... proved to be nearly unbeatable with an overall singles record of 28-3 playing on court one… went 23-12 in doubles on court one with partner Kelsey Weir… competed at the NAIA National Tournament… defeated Olivet's Jill Haas 6-2,6-0 in singles on court one and went 8-4 in doubles on court one alongside partner Kelsey Weir... earned All-GSAC, All-Region II and first team All-American honors... voted team MVP.

Played two years as an Eagle at Santa Fe Christian HS… was MVP both years… coached by Tina Benedict… went to the San Diego Finals of CIF.

Born April 5, 1989… parents are Margaret and Steve… sister Ashley was a three-year All-American at PLNU… a fan of the Chargers… favorite book is “The Notebook” and favorite movie is The Bourne Identity… watches “One Tree Hill”… Kristin is a business administration major.
