As a Junior (2011)

Got into 20 contests with five starts… had a 4-3 overall mark with a team-best 2.73 ERA… notched 47 strikeouts in 62.2 innings pitched… complete-game shutout tossed against Biola on Feb. 23… four scoreless frames versus San Diego Christian on April 19… two appearances in the GSAC tournament, allowing just one earned run in 8.2 innings.

Prior to PLNU

Transferred after two years from Fresno City College, where he earned second team all-league under head coach Ron Scott... earned four varsity letters at Liberty HS where he pitched, played first base and third base... back-to-back team Most Valuable Player in 2006 and 2007... earned the Coach's Award in 2007... threw a no-hitter during his career as a Hawk.

Personal

Born December 16, 1988 in Fresno, Calif. to Margarita and Fernando...  has two sisters: Deanna and Tanya... can play the piano...enjoys working out and card collecting... lists Barry Bonds and Tim Lincecum as favorite athletes... also played football and basketball in high school, earning first team all-league in both... came to PLNU for the baseball and academics programs... kinesiology major who desires to coach and work in athletic training.
