Prior to PLNU

Comes to Point Loma from the University of Notre Dame… as a freshman in 2008, went 4-2 with a 3.03 ERA in six starts… tossed 32.2 innings giving up 20 hits and striking out 31… held opponents to a .183 average… sat out the 2009 season after having surgery… in 2010, as a sophomore for the Irish, Ryan went 0-1, tossing 15.1 innings and struck out 16… a 34th round selection of the Chicago White Sox in the 2007 Major League Draft… spent the past two summer pitching in the Cape Cod League for both the Hyannis Mets and the Harwich Mariners.

Born September 15, 1989 in Marshall, Mich. to Nancy and Tom... has two siblings: Evan and Kristen... brother Evan participated in the Seattle Mariners Organization...can play the piano... fan of Mariano Rivera and the New York Yankees... came to PLNU to play baseball at a university where he is able to develop a stronger faith and be able to tan on off days... sociology major who desires to play Major League Baseball.
