All-Time Honors/Awards

All-Time Softball Awards

Softball first appeared as a varsity sport at Pasadena College in 1953 when Frank Clouse coached a small squad. The sport was dropped after only two seasons, but reappeared in 1956 under Bonnie Cervine. The program then saw the coming and going of six coaches (Mary Shaffer, John Delbridge, Craig Kelsey, Rose Lyon and Celia Vaclavick) until it was discontinued again in 1965. At Point Loma, the program was revived again in 1977. In 1980 and 1981, the team qualified for the AIAW regional tournament. The sport played the vanishing act again in 1983, but was added back as a club sport in 1991. In 1992, it was again a varsity sport under Barb Wnek, with Karla Kehoe, Jacque Renwick,Dave Williams and Cheryl Schaefer taking over the team. The following are the records that we have documentation for.
