Furman joined the PLNU men's basketball coaching staff prior to the 2018-19 season. Furman is the coordinator for travel, assists in scouting, oversees the team's academic progress, works with player skill development and is active in recruiting.

He joined the Sea Lions after working with the Butler basketball program over the past few seasons. Furman earned his undergraduate degree from Butler University in spring of 2018.
