Tony Mercuriali returned to his alma mater, first as an assistant to Tim Hall and, for the 2012 season, as a member of Phil Wolf's staff. He is the lead assistant for the Sea Lion men's squad.
A highly decorated player, Mercuriali received the Meguiar Award and was an All-GSAC performer and team MVP in 2008. He was also team captain for three years. Before coming to PLNU, he won a National Championship with San Diego Fusion in 2007 in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL).
A 2009 graduate of PLNU with a degree in business administration, Mercuriali is pursuing a MBA from PLNU. He was part of two missions trips with the PLNU soccer team (Malawi in 2006 and Brazil in 2010).
