As a Sophomore (2010-11)
Was mainly a doubles specialist but won both of the singles matches he competed in… in doubles was 13-10 playing with DJ Jaehnig on court 3… notched an 11-2 record there against conference foes… beat opponents from ranked teams: Concordia, Vanguard, Westmont, Lewis-Clark State, Williams (Mass.) and Union, the last of which came at the NAIA National Championships.
Prior to PLNU
Transfer from University of Texas at San Antonio where he redshirted for one year... earned three varsity letters in three years at Ronald Reagan HS under coach David Daniel... was all-district, all-region, and all-Sstate for the Rattlers... also recognized as No.2-ranked in the nation.

Born on May 1, 1991 in Guadalajara, Mexico to Pingui and Angel...has a twin brother, Diego, who also plays PLNU tennis... grandfather Marco was a professional soccer player... says he'd most like to meet Spanish football player "Raul"... remembers reaching the No.2 doubles ranking with brother Diego as his most exciting tennis moment... came to Point Loma for the great opportunity to develop as a player as well as a person... was DECA vice president in high school and was on the Spanish Honor Society... business administration major who desires to find a job at a wealth management firm.
