Brent has served as an Assistant Coach for Point Loma Women's Track & Field for the past five years. He primarily coaches the team's throwers.
Previously, Brent coached strength & conditioning and track & field at UCLA, Concordia University Irvine and Mt. Sac before moving to San Diego six years ago.
Lagace graduated in 2010 from Westmont College, where was an All-American in the javelin under Head Coach Russell Smelley. Brent then earned his master's degree (MS, C.S.C.S.) while coaching at Concordia, before going on to qualify for three Olympic Trials. He was ranked as high as #3 nationally after college.
He owes his love for track & field and coaching to the great coaches and athletes he's been able to train with; former Olympians Mike Barnett, Bryan Clay, Tom Petronoff, Kara Winger, and Mike Shuey here locally at the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center.
Brent's awesome wife Anna (Viettry) Lagace was a former PLNU Women's Basketball player. They both love to combine coaching and ministry and are driven by their faith in Jesus Christ.
