Jon Stroschine started as PLNU Women’s Pole Vault Coach in the fall of 2021.
Stroschine pole vaulted for Western Oregon University from 1998-2002, competed at NAIA nationals and is still on their top 10 list for both indoor and outdoor track & field.
During his time at PLNU, Jon has coached 3-time PacWest pole vault champion Peyton Yoshida, as well as two runners-up (Eva Koutelieris, Danielle Gould) and a third-place finisher (Brianne Camarena) at the PacWest Conference Championships. That included a podium sweep at the 2025 PacWest Championships.
“This team is so incredibly special to me,” Stroschine said. “I could not imagine a better situation for an assistant coach. Coming up through high school and college, I was blessed with coaches that cared for me and helped me find my potential. It is my honor to carry that forward for another generation of vaulters.”
