PLNU Athletics

AS A JUNIOR (2012):
NAIA Scholar-Athlete…GSAC Scholar-Athlete…Ran in the 400m and 4x100m relays at the GSAC Championships…Set personal best times in the 200m, 400m and 800m runs during the season…Ran a 26.45 in the 200m dash at the PLNU Collegiate Open to set a PR…Ran a time of 58.32 in the 400m and a 2:31.91 in the 800m.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2011):
Ran the 200 meter in 27.14, the 400 meter in 61.16… GSAC Scholar Athlete.

AS A FRESHMAN (2010):
Member of the GSAC champion 4x400 relay team… best time in that event was 3:45.82 which was a NAIA qualifying time… other bests: 13/19 in the 100 meter, 26.49 in the 200 meter and 58.45 in the 400 meters.

PRIOR TO PLNU:
Ran sprints at Dana Hills high school for four years under the direction of coach Les Owens and coach Ryan Crane… earned four varsity letters, MVP sprinter and All-League sprinter (400 & 200)… highlights include national leader in DMR 2009 and breaking high school record in 4X4m relay… also played soccer in high school where she earned MVP, best defense, and All-League runner up.

PERSONAL:
Born in Newport Beach, CA… mother is Kathy Ham… one brother, Joseph… hobbies are running and reading… lists grilled cheese and soup as favorite foods… favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption and favorite TV show is "How I Met Your Mother"… came to PLNU for the Christian environment and community… a mathematics major, Kassie wants to become an engineer or an accountant.
