Leaupepe-Tele enters her first season as an assistant coach for the PLNU Women's Basketball team in 2023-24.
She has previous coaching experience at the NCAA Division II level, spending three seasons as an assistant coach at Texas A&M-Commerce where she played basketball and competed in track & field as an undergraduate.
While on staff at Texas A&M-Commerce, she also served as camp director, travel coordinator, fundraiser, academic counselor and position coach.
After pursuing a career in property management and real estate, she spent the 2022-23 season as the JV head coach at Patrick Henry H.S.
"We are so excited to welcome Abigail to The Point," Elliott said when Leaupepe-Tele was hired. "She brings tremendous playing and coaching experience with her and a passion and enthusiasm that is contagious.
