Jesse Clark begins his third year with the Point Loma women's basketball coaching staff prior 2020-21. Clark has 24 years of collegiate coaching experience with stops at Stanford, Saint Mary's, San Diego State and more. At PLNU, Clark is involved with every phase of the program, including recruiting, scouting and the development of post players.

In his first year with the team, the Sea Lions started the year out slowly, but adjustments to win their last 13 straight PacWest contests, and 17 of 20 overall to close the season. Cara Liggins and Sydney Peterson were named first team All-PacWest selections, and Grace Brady was voted PacWest Defender of the Year.

In 2019-20, the Sea Lions went 18-11 record (14-8 PacWest). Cara Liggins and Onjalise Carley-Hilliard each captured All-PacWest honors. Carley-Hilliard led the PacWest in field goal percentage (.517) and the team paced the league with a plus-10 rebounding margin.

Prior to joining the Sea Lions, Clark worked at San Diego State. He was with the Aztecs from 2014 with one of his main roles as a scheduler where he got SDSU games against 22 postseason teams including South Carolina, Michigan and Washington. He also oversaw the play of first-team all-Mountain West performer Cierra Warren. In 2013-14, she led the conference with a .544 field-goal percentage, which ranked 31st in the nation, and was the Aztecs' leading scorer that year, averaging 15.4 points per game to go along with a team-high 42 blocked shots.

Clark was had his longest run with Saint Mary's (2007-13). During his tenure the Gaels compiled 112 victories and made four consecutive trips to the Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT), including a quarterfinal appearance in his final season. He coached five all-West Coast Conference performers, including Jackie Nared, who led the league in scoring during the 2012-13 campaign.

Prior to his arrival at SMC, Clark served as director of video operations at Stanford, where he was responsible for film exchange, game editing, scouting, and analysis. Clark also spent two seasons at the University of San Francisco from 2003-05 and one season at CSU Bakersfield (2002-02).

Clark entered the coaching ranks in 1996 as an assistant at his alma mater Pacific Union College in Angwin, Calif., where he also doubled as assistant athletic director and sports information director. In 1997, he was elevated to head coach, leading the Pioneers to three California Pacific Conference tournament appearances in five seasons.

A native of Tacoma, Wash., Clark has one son named Jacob. Clark received a Bachelor degree in Business Education from Pacific Union in 2003. He played collegiately for the school from 1992-96 after prepping at Fresno Academy in Fresno, Calif.
