Biography
AS A JUNIOR (2013-14):
First team All-PacWest performer…PacWest All-Academic team selection…Led PLNU in scoring at the PacWest Championships as she placed seventh with a season-best 157 (+13)…Led PLNU in scoring at the PacWest Championships and the Otter Invitational…Season-best round came in the second round of the NCCAA Invitational when she fired a 75 (+3)…Played in all 10 tournaments for the Sea Lions.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2012-13):
Played in nine tournaments for the Sea Lions… Shot an average score of 86.58 per round… Finished in the top 25 at the NCCAA National Championships… Best round of 79 came at the Grand Canyon Women’s Fall Invitational.
AS A FRESHMAN (2011-12):
Played in all nine events for Point Loma…Finished in the top 25 in three tournaments…Averaged 86.42 strokes per round…Shot a season-low round of 80(+8) at the Grand Canyon Invite…Best finish came at the Lady Cougar Invite when she tied for 13th…Placed 16th at the NAIA Qualifier.
PRIOR TO PLNU:
Prepped at Clovis West High School under Coach Ken Shipley… Earned four varsity letters with honors including team captain, Varsity Girls Golf Most Improved Award, Coaches Award, Pursuing Victory with Honor Award, Athletic Director’s Dream Team selection, CIF Scholar Athlete, Team Captain, CSF Lifetime Member, National Honors Society Member and National Society of High School Scholars Member… shot a shot career low 75 to win a NCGA Junior Golf Tournament… her Golden Eagles were Tri-River Athletic Conference and Area Champions four years in a row (2007-10), three time CIF Central Section Champions, and placed sixth at SoCal Regional… some extracurricular activities were: Faith Club, Jr. Larcs, MCAC leadership, Key Club, modeled in a fashion show to raise funds for the Boys and Girls Club of Fresno charity, Pacific Islander’s Club, leader in High School youth group at Riverpark Bible Church, member of Worship Band, Leader of Choir/Missions Team, AWANA volunteer leader, assistant to Intermediate girls golf team.
PERSONAL:
Born in Clovis, Calif. to parents John and Cyndi…Finance major…Has one sister, Camille… father competed on the UC Davis cycling team and her uncle, Reynaldo Orito, played men’s golf at UC Davis.
