Biography
AS A JUNIOR (2013-14):
Second team All-PacWest performer…Team MVP…PacWest All-Academic selection…Led PLNU in scoring with 79.05 strokes per round…Tied for eighth at the PacWest Championships with a 160 (+16)…Tied for sixth at the PLNU Fall Preview and the CBU Women's Invitational for her best two finishes of the season…Best score came in the PLNU Fall Preview when she posted an 8-over, 156…Best round came in the final round of the NCCAA Invitational when she shot a 1-over, 73…Played in all 10 tournaments…Led PLNU in scoring in three tournaments.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2012-13):
Third team All-PacWest performer…Competed in nine tournaments for PLNU…Finished once in the top 10 and four times in the top 20…Averaged 80.58 shots per round…Placed seventh at the CSUSM Lady Cougar Invitational where she recorded a season-low round of 74 (+2)…Finished 16th out of 107 golfers at the PLNU Super San Diego Championships.
AS A FRESHMAN (2011-12):
Played in nine events for the Sea Lions…Recorded top 10 finishes in five of nine tournaments…Led PLNU in scoring in four tournaments…Averaged 78.89 strokes per round…Recorded a season-low round of 73(+1) at the Grand Canyon Fall Invite…Placed third overall with a 6-over, 150 at the NAIA Qualifier for a season-best finish.
PRIOR TO PLNU:
Spent four seasons under Coach Frank Theroux, earning four varsity letters…. As a senior had a 37.1 stroke average with a low score of 33 at Mission Trails… Named Grossmont League Player of the Year, four time first team all-league, four time CIF qualifier, three time Southern California qualifier, three time first team All-CIF and twice an all-academic league performer… On the honor roll all four years, graduated in the top 25 percent of her class and maintained a 4.0 GPA… Extracurricular activities were S.A.D.D (students against destructive decisions) and yearbook copy editor.
PERSONAL:
Born in San Diego…Parents are Brad and Lorena…Has one brother, Ryan…Mom played softball at Mesa, dad competed for golf squad at Grossmont and uncle, Guillermo Aviles, played baseball at PLNU… an Exercise Science major.
